Tyla (2024)

Released on March 22, 2024, Tyla is the self-titled debut album from South African singer Tyla Laura Seethal. The 14-track project introduced the world to Tyla's signature blend of amapiano, pop, R&B, and Afrobeats — what she calls "popiano."

The album is anchored by the global phenomenon Water, which won Tyla the inaugural Grammy Award for Best African Music Performance in 2024 — making her the youngest African artist ever to win a Grammy at age 22. Other highlights include Truth or Dare, Jump (with Gunna and Skillibeng), On and On, and ART.

The album debuted at number 24 on the Billboard 200 and number 1 on the US World Albums chart. Tyla was widely praised by critics for showcasing the global potential of amapiano and establishing Tyla as one of the most exciting new voices in pop music.
